America Should Expect Better

Last night's Republican debate in Houston, Texas resembled an elementary cafeteria squabble amongst self-centered immature children with no adult nearby to call out the unacceptable behavior. CNN moderator, Wolf Blitzer was pitifully inept controlling conversation tone and tempo.

As a parent, I insisted that my children stand up for 'their rights' but understand that 'getting-it-right' is more important than 'being right.' At a time in our society when rude behavior and bullying is rampant and parents, police and school leaders are forming coalitions to address those issues, our nation watches those exact disgusting behaviors on display by candidates seeking the office of President.

The only laughable moment during the debate was hearing the voice of the lone 'black' candidate (off camera) pleading to four 'white guys,' "Somebody attack me." His cry would thus require an opportunity to respond therefore giving him air-time.'

Sad.
