In 1919, the U S Supreme Court ruled: 'Speech that represents clear and present danger is not protected by the First Amendment.' In 1942, the U S Supreme Court ruled: 'Forms of expression that inflict injury or tend to incite immediate breach of peace is not protected by the First Amendment.'
There are 19 Bible verses that speak to and encourage 'acts of kindness.' In Luke 6-27, Jesus tells us to 'love thy enemy.' Why then is it okay for Christians to say ugly / hateful things about other people, their origin or religious beliefs and then pompously invoke the First Amendment rights? Toss the garbage, we are either practicing Christians or we ARE NOT!
P.S. A few days ago, I sought prayers from you readers in behalf of my brother, Tom. Yesterday, Tom survived a seven hour open heart LVAD surgery. A heart pump was inserted in his lower heart lobe and is attached to an 'fanny-pack battery.' The next seven days of recovery are most critical...thanks for your continued prayer petitions...I believe in those prayer power.
