Iconic, hero or ordinary folks need to leave the dance before they show their ass with moves of yesterday.
I recall attending one of those 'old-timers' baseball games in the late 1960's early 1970's. It was good seeing the heroes of my youth introduced but sad watching them attempt to recapture skills of days gone by.
A few nights ago, I watched that Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Show. It was enjoyable seeing classic re-runs and a few current skits. It was not fun watching and listening to Beatles Icon, Paul McCartney sing; his vocal range and tone betrays him as does his close friends.
Let's face Father Time's thieving ways. Things change. If a high school student takes a slide-rule to calculus class he will likely finish behind the student with a calculator or smart phone.
