It is commonly reported that over 15- thousand books have been written about President, Abraham Lincoln. Only Jesus Christ has had more books penned about his life. Our first president, George Washington has nearly seven thousands books about his life and JFK rounds out the top three books about Presidents.
Those aforementioned numbers and rankings may be challenged in the near future. The Presidential subject, Donald J. Trump appears to be a most fertile book topic. Just how many books will be written about the 45th POTUS depends upon Trump serving one or two terms.
Recently, former Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan was quoted dissing President Trump in Tim Alberta's soon to be released book, 'American Carnage.' I believe it is safe to say that as time passes there will be a plethora of books profiling and discussing the governing leadership ineptness of our 45th President.
Whereas I am not a fan of this President and believe him to be a disgusting human being who berates his fellow man, speaks in vulgarities and wallows in self-aggrandizing narcissism, I nevertheless find it cowardly of others to takes cheap shots at Trump after they leave positions in his administration.
Those who will write these negative accounts of Trump's Presidency will do so for self-serving reasons and that will be their weak attempt to exonerate their complicit behavior and indefensible support of Trump. These morally weak people will advance theories that 'they stayed' in Trump's administration and service because they thought they could somehow guide this maniac away from worse decisions had they not been in Trump's service. These spineless power-grabbers i.e. Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John Kelly, Rex Tillerson and others should never be excused for their wrongful complicity.
Courage is the ability to do something when the unknown result of your action is frightening.
