New Year's Eve, I watched the midnight fireworks display in Taipei, Taiwan and later the 'Countdown celebration' from (Times Square), NY, NY. I came away from the two visual experiences with the following conclusions:
(1) Hope springs eternal with new beginnings around the world. (2) Lovers everywhere celebrate that midnight moment sharing a warm embrace and kiss. (3) Americans can out 'drink' most nations except Russia and Ireland. (4) Asian nations put on better fireworks displays and make most of the world's T-Shirts!
