GOP needs to dial 911

Republican Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump is catching all kinds of hell for recently allowing a questioner (at a political rally) to state that President Obama is a Muslim and not a legitimate American citizen. Trump did not correct the misconceptions but why would he? If you recall, Trump was one of the most adamant birther advocates.

The bigger issues are: forty-three percent of Republicans believe President Obama is not a Christian even though President Obama confesses Jesus Christ and his own status as a born again Christian. Can anyone imagine their own frustration and anger if they were being judged in this manner regarding their faith and birth rights?

This particular questioner is typical of the kinds of people Donald Trump's rallies attract.  Trump plays to the grim and ugly side of America's society...people who are insecure, angry and hateful bigots. Trump Is not stupid...he knows the make-up and mind-set of his followers.

If I was a Republican anchored in deep legitimate conservative beliefs, I would be frustrated and disgusted with the high-jacking of my political party's integrity and honorable mission by an sick ego-maniac who spews decisive hate rhetoric. It is simple and obvious that the Republican Party badly needs a hero and a leader.

Oh, by the way, it's okay to be a Muslim in America.
