A n Appreciation Luncheon

Today, Monday, June 18, Mark McLeod, CEO McLeod Express will host his Third Annual Decatur Team Soy Capital Turkey Tourney Corporate Cookout @ Stephen Decatur Middle School, which will be the site this coming Thanksgivin for the 48th Annual Tournament. This tourney's history has seen nearly 100 Division I basketball signees and notable such as Andre' Iguodala and Shaun Livingston (former Tourney MVP's) who are current members of the NBA Champions, Holden State 'Warriors.'

The financial demands of team guarantees, security, hospitality, custodial & maintenance assistance along with game officials, game workers and administrative costs places the bar at approximately $38,000.00 before the first tip off. This premier event would never find legs without the following:
Bob Smith / Kevin Breheny (Team Soy Capital), Steve Horve, Sr. & Jr. (Horve Builders), Gary Birschbach (McDonald's), Dale Cole (Southlake Paarmacy/Colee's Corner), Kendall Briscoe (Caterpillar), Darcy Grinestaff (Crown Toyota/Nissan & Miles Chevy), Tony Wilkins (Ameren IP), Caring Black Men, C & K Signs, Dunn Company, 1st Mid America Credit Union, Mike Avery (Grain Journal), Josh Sapp (IBEW), Mark McLeod, Aimee Fyke (Residence Inn), Decatur Conference Center & Hotel, Sam's Club, Earthmover Credit Union, Miller/Tracy/Braun & Miller Attorneys, St. Mary's Hospital, Walmart, WAND/TV, Heckman Healthcare, Decatur Orthopedics, Alltown Bus Service, Apexnetwork Physical Therapy, Busey Bank, Decatur Dental, Decatur Police, Peerless Cleaners & Restoration, Brass Horn, Brentlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Eagle Ridge Senior Living, McAtee Financial, New Horizon Marketing, Pepsi, RD McMillen Ent., Speed Lube, State Farm, Target, T R Systems, Top Quality Roofing, Land of Lincoln Credit Union, Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home,  Decatur Public School Foundation and Decatur Memorial Hospital.

As Tournament Coordinator, I am deeply grateful for the financial commitment of these aforementioned individuals, businesses and corporations. Aside from that, I am pleased and warmed to the core noting the obvious Decatur City-wide and Decatur Public School personnel 'ownership.'

Thank you one and all. Enjoy today's fabulous luncheon prepared by grill Master, McLeod!
