Politicians Invoking Scriptures? Really?

I am one hundred percent supportive of any person pontificating scripture beliefs from 'their' good book as it pertains to an explanation of THEIR life and the manner in which they traverse THEIR journey. That said, keep your biblical opinions to yourself when it comes to governing our nation. It is called separation of church and state. You may also add this to my complaint: Too frequently, folks notoriously manipulate biblical scriptures by picking and choosing scriptures to support a personal conviction.

Let me offer this slant: If a baker has constitutional rights to refuse making a cake for a gay couple then a Christian dentist, predicated on Biblical Scriptures can refuse service to a divorcee and a person with tattoos. The Bible justifies the dentist's position.

Attorney General, Jeff Sessions said that Romans 13, justifies separating children from their immigrant parents entering the country illegally because the United States is simply enforcing government laws, which Romans 13 highlights. Southerners used this same scripture to claim slavery was protected by law. Adolph Hitler also invoked Romans 13 against Christians maintaining that he (Hitler) was ordained by their God to be their leader.

Their is no justification to separate a child from its mother unless the mother posses a danger to the child. It is morally unjustifiable for a government to cause separation of mother and child. America is better than this, I would think. Are you kidding me? We have people in this nation who become 'unglued' over some individuals not standing for the National Anthem but are okay separating a toddler from its mother? Christian nation, eh?

Somebody should remind Attorney General Sessions of Matthew 19:14 "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me for this is the Kingdom of Heaven." >>>Southern translation: 'Leave the kids alone if  you know what's good for you, Bubba.'
