Only a dumb person would deny the following American political propensities: Democrats favor social programs, i.e. Subsides for the poor while Republicans lean towards greater tax breaks for corporations and strengthening the military. That said, it stands to reason that whatever party controls the Congessional power will 'have its way'
The recently released Federal budget proposal reduces social programs drastically while increasing military expenditures significantly...true to political philosophical form. Under this budget and the proposed health bill replacement bill, America will see millions of poorer people lose health care, while older (fixed income) people will have premiums rise. Public school food support programs will be dismantled and senior citizens Meals on Wheels will disappear. Of course, our government will 'control markets' as it continues to subsides farmers with idle fields.
Okay, I'm good with the concept: "To the winners go the spoils." Just spare me the poppycock malarkey about the Republican Party fighting for the unborn child when it takes food off the 'living' child's plate. Don't talk disengenuously about the need for prayer in school and the Nativity Scene on the Court House lawn while seniors open a can of cat food for a Christmas meal.
