When National standardized school test scores indicate negative trends, politicians jump on a bandwagon finger-pointing at what they believe is ineffective teachers and schools. Suddenly federal grant monies are withheld or greater pressures brought on teachers. You get it teachers? Whip those little horses to the watering hole of knowledge and MAKE them drink.
When the students, who take those tests, are murdered in their school classrooms with military-style assault weapons, those same politicians maintain that 'it's too soon to discuss gun control.' The politically correct term for those elected officials would be> 'disingenuous weak-kneed ideologues.' In my old neighborhood the characterization would be> 'chicken-shit phony.'
The Republican Party WILL NEVER address serious gun control measures.
All Americans wish for American citizens to have the right to bare arms...just not military type arms! The GOP wants to point to mental health as the problem not assault guns but then the GOP wishes NOT to fund mental health care...Really?
It's time to 'Flip-The-House;' provided Russia will allow us, which is another issue the Republicans don't wish to discuss as long as their boy Trump helps them maintain power to make money and disenfranchise 'Brown-skin people.'
And this president makes an issue out of those kneeling during the National Anthem...Really?
Trump gibber-jabbers about mental illness but never utters the word 'Guns.'
A few years back the GOP liked the phrase, "It's the economy STUPID!" Well, GOP Fox & Friends Kool-Aid drinkers: "It's the ASSAULT WEAPONS STUPID!"
'In our thoughts and prayers ain't enough and doesn't cut it!' The house is 'on fire NOW,' call the fire department.
