It is widely stated that should history be forgotten then history runs the risk to repeat. That said, I suppose some history repeated could be good and some not so good. Most definitely Jewish people never want the holocaust history repeated. This is why Jewish leaders are quick to promote holocaust remembrances. The terrible events of the holocaust coupled with the religious aspect of Christianity accepting biblical scripture that the Hebrew people are God's chosen people add to world wide political complexities.
I am just wondering if there are many folks in America that embrace African-Americans with equal fervor to keep the slavery history 'alive' so that those atrocities may never be revisited? Would our political leaders go so far to invite the President of the NAACP to address Congress?
It's a 'Goose-Gander' question.
