'Subliminal' = affecting someone's mind without their being aware of it.' All of us have been and continue to be motivated to action based on messages received subconsciously...messages coming at us repeatedly below normal levels of sensation. We purchase goods because of these messages, we vote for politicians and on issues due to these clever communications and we choose entertainment events because of such subtle hints.
Many Donald Trump supporters refuse to accept the possibility that Trump's comments motivate violence. Trump's statements about protesters, "In the old days that guy would be carried out on a stretcher," or "I'd like to punch him in the face," has (no) impact on those actions carried out by his faithful through these subliminal messages.
Just yesterday, Mr. Trump said, " There could be riots if I am denied the Republican nomination at a contested convention." Perhaps that is a subliminal message. Here's a message, which is not subliminal: Donald Trump is a sick self-centered extremely narcissistic dangerous individual.
