Adam LaRoche has been a Major League Baseball player for the past 12 seasons. During those years he sported a career batting average of .260 and amassed a net worth of 35 million dollars. This year the 36-year old first baseman was on schedule to receive 12 million dollars playing for the Chicago White Sox.
LaRoche, like other MLB players enjoys bringing his son to his work place. LaRoche feels 'entitled' to bring his 14 year old son to the park every day. The White Sox asked LaRoche to 'dial-it-back' a bit and not bring the kid every day. LaRoche either got his feelings hurt or got mad therefore he quit the team, which means he and his kid won't be at the park any more.
Many other overpaid and excessively pampered MLB players have come to LaRoche's defense saying he is a great father. Perhaps he is a terrific dad. LaRoche did say that he was not big on his kid being in school because he thought his son could learn more valuable lessons in a MLB clubhouse. (Now there's a discouraging thought).
What year did the rules change? The 'rule' that said employees were no longer subjected to the employers' guidelines and expectations in the work place.???
By the way, last year LaRoche hit a whopping .207. My theory is he is 'fried' and knows he can no longer catch up with that 96 mile fast ball.
Do you realize how slow the work-zone speed limit would likely be if all those guys leaning on shovels along highway construction sites have their kid(s) with them?
